Greetings all you lovers of extraordinary bluegrass! You are about to embark on a journey into the lives and careers of the Kings of Bluegrass! I apologize for letting this site get stagnant over the past four years. I have a lot of new photos and memorabilia to add as well as additional songbook info!
As many of you know, we lost Josh Graves Sept. 30, 2006. Josh was an inspiration to many a dobro player! Our prayers continue to be with the family. New Forum added! I just got through designing the new forum for discussing all aspects of the group. Please visit and join as it will be the place to learn many interesting things about the group.
My name is Tom Thomas and several years ago I created an organization and web site devoted to honoring the greatest bluegrass group of all time!! Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys were my favorite group growing up and I loved their music and professionalism in their performances! They had their own television show as well as doing guest appearances on the Beverly Hillbillies. I have been a big fan of theirs for many years and want to preserve the history of the group as well as showcase their music. Since forming the Preservation Society several years ago, I have begun a quest to see a museum established to honor both Lester and Earl as well as a collective effort for them with the Foggy Mountain Boys. I have a fairly large collection of their recordings and photos as well as some autographed items I will be displaying on this site. Please feel free to contact me regarding any information that would help me in showcasing this group of musicians!
